SCATS (the Sydney Coordinated Adaptive Traffic System) is the long established adaptive traffic control system and methodology developed by the Roads and Traffic Authority (RTA) of New South Wales, Australia and used throughout the world.
From early May, a new release of LinSig3 (version 3.0.16.0), will enable all LinSig users to build traffic models using SCATS™-Based Terminology. Such models follow established SCATS™ conventions and use numerically labelled Signal Groups (known as Phases in the UK) and phases (known as Stages in the UK) that are labelled alphabetically.

This new version also includes numerous updates, user requests and improvement features including significantly faster traffic assignment and signal timing optimisation in larger networks.
