When you request the download of trial software or full software products, other types of resource or our services, JCT may ask you to provide contact information to allow us to learn more about the people who have an interest in our services and products. When users submit bookings for JCT’s training courses, JCT will ask you to provide contact information for invoicing and administrative purposes; each user is responsible for ensuring the accuracy of all information submitted as part of the booking process. Each user is also responsible for the level of security provided by the password they use when creating a website account.
By entering your details in the fields requested, you enable JCT, its partners and sub-contractors to provide you with the services you select.
JCT also collects IP addresses (an IP address is a number that can uniquely identify a specific computer or other network device on the internet). We use this information to analyse website usage and to improve both the website and the services that are made available through the website.
JCT will use the collected information for a number of purposes including the following:
We will keep your information confidential except where disclosure is required or permitted by law (for example to government bodies and law enforcement agencies). Generally, we will only use your information within JCT except where information must be given to our partners or sub-contractors in order to provide you with the service you require. From time to time, delegate names and organisations attending events such as the symposium & exhibition will be made available to participating organisations and sponsors of the events. JCT will disclose the necessary minimum of information and will not forward contact details and personal information to marketing agencies without consent.
A cookie is a small amount of data, which often includes a unique identifier that is sent to your computer or mobile phone (referred to here as a "device") browser from a website's computer and is stored on your device's hard drive. Each website can send its own cookie to your browser if your browser's preferences allow it, but (to protect your privacy) your browser only permits a website to access the cookies it has already sent to you, not the cookies sent to you by other sites.
Cookies are used by JCT so that we can automatically log you into our website where users have created their own account and even then, only if the user has specifically asked to be remembered by the website. They are also used so we can track the usage of our website with Google Analytics. Our site has been designed so that our cookies do not identify you or store any personal information about you.
