TranEd V2 Updates

download button

The latest version of TranEd is : 2.4.5.0

Downloading this update will install a complete copy, and will thus update an existing installation of TranEd to the latest version and includes all previous updates since Version 2.1.0.0. The updates are available only for users with current software support. The installer will check your system for a software support licence as part of the install process.

If TranEd's installer warns you your software support has expired and you still choose to continue with the update installation, TranEd will operate in Demo mode only until you update your computer with a valid software support licence.

If the update fails to install due to expired software support it is possible that you, or your IT department, has not updated the software support licence on your computer when software support was renewed. Please contact us to determine your support status and if eligible obtain a new Activation Code to enable your Software Support.

We are currently distributing all our updates in zip format due to problems downloading .exe files through firewalls. Windows XP includes the capability to open .zip files. With other versions of Windows you will require a zip tool such as Winzip which can be obtained from www.winzip.com. Alternatively a number of free zip utilities are available on shareware boards such as www.cnet.com. Please contact your IT department or JCT if you require any advice regarding unzipping the updates.

Installation

Once you have downloaded the update (see top right link):

  1. Extract the update file TranEdxxxx.exe from the downloaded file using your unzipping utility.
  2. Double Click on the TranEdxxxx.exe file in the location you saved it to above.
  3. Follow the on screen prompts.

After installation is complete open TranEd and check that the version number is as described on the TranEd FAQ page to ensure that the new version has installed correctly.
